I. Day of Infamy II. Remembrance III. Battle IV. Somber V. Coda Winds and Front Ensemble arranged by Joe Boboige Battery arranged by Joe Sensor Original performance included Swing Swing Swing arr. Jay Bocook between Mvts III and IV, and did not included V. Coda. DuBois Area Senior High School Marching Band, 2012 |
Telling the story of how the United States entered WWII, this original marching show begins with the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Using pentatonic scales combined with the western chant of the end of days, Dies Irae, this show moves gives the ensemble an opportunity to present a chilling history of the world. The Coda movement can be interpreted a few ways, but was originally intended to signify the use of nuclear weapons and its catastrophic result.
